Anne Wedgwood

Anne was born in London and was immersed in books from her childhood onwards. She now lives in the East Yorkshire town of Beverley, where her not-so-cosy crime novels are set. Anne began writing in her later years, having spent her working life in education and bringing up three children. When she’s not busy reading, Anne loves spending time in her garden, listening to her husband play the piano or travelling in search of places frequented by Agatha Christie, who is her literary heroine. Although a fan of detective novels, Anne prefers to write from the perspective of her protagonists, who are quirky, intelligent and usually up to no good. Anne's first novel, 'The Botanist' came about following an idea for a short story event in the town's local theatre. Her second book reflects her interest in music, and the third her love of the theatre.
