Robert Morgan

Robert Morgan has published several volumes of poetry, including The Strange Attractor (2004) and Terroir (2011). Among his seven novels are the New York Times bestseller Gap Creek (1999) and Chasing the North Star (2016). Story collections include As Rain Turns to Snow (2017) and In the Snowbird Mountains and Other Stories (2023). Nonfiction includes the national bestseller Boone: A biography (2007) and Fallen Angel: The Life of Edgar Allan Poe (2023). Raised on a farm in the mountains of western North Carolina, he has taught since 1971 at Cornell University, where he is now Kappa Alpha Professor of English Emeritus.
