Xima
Rich Blecher, 2020
The fusion of genres was masterfully done. Fantasy, escapism, dystopia, and others all blend together to create Xima.
A Reader's Guide to R.A. Salvatore's The Legend of Drizzt
Philip Athans, 2008
Dark fantasy readers will devour this guide to a popular, beloved series. It delves into character arcs and plot points, offering perspectives on the series.
Homeland
The Legend of Drizzt
R.A. Salvatore, 2009
Drizzt DuOrden is one of my favorite characters so of course, Homeland is on this list. As with all Drizzt novels, the plot and characters grab readers and take them on a journey they don't want to end.
Season of the Runer Book I
Abigail Linhardt, 2020
Similar to The Witcher, it focuses on eastern European culture and one runer's mental health struggle. Great for those wanting dark fantasy and the element of necromancers.
The Dragon and the Double-Edged Sword
Allison Ivy, 2017
Unconventional mythical creatures populate this fantastical dystopia novel. It asks the question, "What would happen if humans were extinct and mythical creatures were real?"
