Bill Lindsay

Bill is retired and researching Victorian Merchant Shipping. Having worked in sales and marketing in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 35 years, primarily in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and then Infectious Diseases, Bill has recently published a book on his forefather entitled William Schaw Lindsay Victorian Entrepreneur. During 2023 he has been conducting a lecture tour around the UK, both in person and by Zoom, in more than 20 centres. He is a member of various Maritime Societies, including the Society for Nautical Research and the Navy Records Society, and has written several articles.His other focus is on the Light Car Patrol in the First World War, a forerunner to the Long Range Desert Group and the SAS.
