Rebecca McCarthy
I grew up in South Carolina, spending summers with my oldest brother in Montana. There, he introduced me to his friend Norman Maclean, who convinced me to attend the college of the University of Chicago. I worked for the US Forest Service as a forest firefighter. I was an award-winning journalist for 21 years. In addition to writing poetry, I’ve been doing freelance writing and editing since I finished college. After decades of researching Norman, I wrote his biography during the Pandemic.
