Phil Halton
Phil Halton is the author of three novels, This Shall be a House of Peace (2019), Every Arm Outstretched (2020) and Red Warning (2024), as well as a history, Blood Washing Blood: Afghanistan’s Hundred-Year War (2021). Previously, he worked in conflict zones around the world as a security consultant and a Canadian Army officer. His work has appeared in the Globe and Mail, the Canadian Army Journal and other publications. He holds a Master of Defence Studies degree from Royal Military College of Canada and a Master of Arts in Creative and Critical Writing (with distinction) from the University of Gloucestershire. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Gloucestershire studying postmodern crime fiction.
