Lakisha Johnson
Lakisha Johnson is a Memphis born, God fearing woman whose been writing since 2012. She has over thirty-five novels, devotionals, and journals on topics of God, hope, restoration, faith, overcoming abuse, marriage, love, loss, grief, and etc. She doesn’t write traditional, clean Christian Fiction. Instead, she writes realistic stories to reach the hearts of those who may be struggling with their faith, relationship with God, or finds themself in a tough situation.
Lakisha knows these are fictional novels, but she hopes her readers can find strength to forgive themselves, try again, pray again, live again, and love again in real life. Therefore, she steps outside the box when it comes to writing. This isn’t to offend, but to offer God even through the pages of fiction.
Her latest series, What Did You Vow and Almost Destroyed are ranked among Amazon’s top 100 bestselling of the African American Christian Fiction genre. She’s also had the privilege to win some book awards and be featured in magazine publications over the course of her career.
In addition to being a self-published author, she’s also a wife, mother, grandmother, Pastor, Sr. Business Analyst, Devotional Blogger, college graduate and product of a large family.
Lakisha writes because of the gift God so graciously created for her. Therefore, she doesn’t take credit for what God does. If you were to strip away every earthly thing, you’d see she’s simply a woman who boldly, unapologetically, and gladly loves and works for God. Ask her and she’ll tell you, ”It’s not just writing, its ministry.”
