Julia María Schiavone Camacho

Julia María Schiavone Camacho is a historian and a writer. She has short nonfiction in Hayden’s Ferry Review. Her short fiction appears in The Florida Review, The Coachella Review, and The Hopper, and her work has been nominated for Best of the Net Anthology. An evangelical Catholic, Julia is interested in the history of global Christianity, a subject she teaches along with other history and writing courses at a small college. Raised in Tucson, she grew up traveling across the Arizona/Sonora borderlands. She and her husband make their home in both Southern California and Michiana. Julia loves the greenery and seasons of the Midwest as well as the ocean, desert, and mountains of the West. She likes to walk and to read.
