Iris Yamashita
Iris Yamashita is a screenwriter and mystery author. Born in Missouri, raised in Hawaii and having lived in Guam, Japan and California before moving to Portugal, Iris Yamashita was able to experience a diversity of culture. She wrote the script Letters From Iwo Jima for Clint Eastwood, which was nominated for an Academy Award for “Best Original Screenplay.” Her debut mystery novel, City Under One Roof, set in a tiny Alaskan town where all the residents live in a single high-rise building, was nominated for an Anthony Award and a Barry Award. Village in the Dark is the follow-up to the Cara Kennedy series.
