Deb Richardson-Moore

Deb Richardson-Moore is a former newspaper reporter whose murder mysteries fall somewhere between cozies and gritty psychological thrillers. She is published by Red Adept Publishing in the US and Lion Hudson in England.


Her stand-alone Murder, Forgotten was a finalist for the 2021 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award, and The Cantaloupe Thief was an Okra Pick by the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance. Her memoir, The Weight of Mercy, was named to the 2016 Reading List for United Methodist Women and studied at Harvard and Duke divinity schools.


She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree by Furman University in 2021, the Humanitarian Award by United Housing Connections in 2020, and the Distinguished Alumni Award by Leadership Greenville (SC) in 2017. Deb and her husband, Vince, live in Greenville and are the parents of three adult children.
