Mysteries of the American West

The American West is a rich and colorful region for stories that include our First Nations. The books I’ve chosen include Native characters in the storyline and often extend the narrative to those cultures. While the mystery remains the catalyst, these fiction books also incorporate Native traditions and beliefs into the account that add so much to the reader’s experience. In my own reading, I appreciate learning about other people: their beliefs, art, food and origin stories. There is no point in reading or writing if I don’t learn something.
