I was transported to a time of enchantment and mysticism, where ancient prophecies shaped the course of history. I very much admire Lawhead’s effective use of foretelling.

I enjoyed the witty prose and the humor and warmth of the narrative. Through Ariane's journey, readers experience a tale of courage and self-discovery, as she navigates the challenges of ruling a kingdom while keeping her true identity hidden. A fun read.
