This is probably, for me personally, the most important book I’ve written. It’s the fifth book in my Diamonds in the Rough series, and one I’d been looking forward to writing when my publisher and I parted ways. Unwilling to let the series die, I wrote this revenge romance, which featured a tough hero raised in the London slums. It was a huge success with my readers and led to four additional books in the series while serving as a brilliant start to my career as a fully self-published author.

A lot of reviews for my books say, ‘not your average romance novel’. This is one such book. I simply love crafting stories that are different from the norm. The subject matter in this one is also turned on its head since it’s not as straightforward as one might expect. Lots of research had to be done, especially since I knew I’d have readers who’d argue that getting divorced in Regency England would be impossible. Well, it wasn’t easy or cheap, but it was possible, but this story is about much more than that. It’s also about loyalty, friendship, and giving people the benefit of the doubt.

I’ve included this one in my list because it was so much fun to write. It’s a friends to lovers story but with a really challenging history between the characters. There’s action and adventure as this couple sails around the world together. It’s just an enjoyable story with some heartfelt moments.
