Cloud of Dreams

Cloud of Dreams is a sequel novel to Knight and Daye, but it goes back in time to the 20th century, telling the backstories of Alexander DeMilo, a theatrical actor, from the early part of the century, and Cynthia Lear, from the latter part. DeMilo and Lear are the central characters in the middle part of the Knight and Daye story, living during the early stages of the war (see above). It was interesting to write further about these two characters, and the lives they once led.

The Elder Rose

The Elder Rose goes back further in time to the 18th, early 19th centuries, told from the perspective of William Alexander Woodes-Hastings, and his eldest daughter, Cynthia Rose. It depicts the times of the period, caressing parts of it, and putting a stamp of uniqueness otherwise. Being a favourite period of mine, I had much fun being able to incorporate real historical presences in, along with the fictional ones.

All the Land

All the Land is a medieval tale revealing the origins of the Woodes-Hastings family tree, as well as the origins of their family home of Totteringstate. The story begins during the Crusade era, and ends during the reign of Edward I, as told by the central characters of William Phillip De Hastings and Roger Alexander WoodesHastings

The Little Bird

A further flash of time takes the next novel, The Little Bird, into the times of Ancient Rome. It is a story that concerns faith, a Roman soldier and a young lady who he needs to rescue from a faction group called Monos. The soldier and lady eventually fall in love and a grand religion is about to be born, right under the nose of Imperial Rome.

Beyond the Land

This is a prehistoric tale regarding sea creatures called Mercastes, the half-man half-fish of old mythology, so called because they are made up outcasts of society. One of these creatures enters this society and meets a girl, from a handprint put on a swimming tank the creature was housed in. The Mercaste was intrigued by the print and sought out on a romantic venture, living between the Mortal and the Mercaste worlds.

A Little Princess

The story takes one to 20th century Earth, in Queens, New York. An international organisation called ARANK is called upon to rescue a young lady from an evil cult group. One of the main characters is a half-breed of alien and human stock, who works for ARANK, on a mission to save the girl.

This is a story of a sea creature called Chayten, who lives in the sea, catapulted from the world of the 23rd century, and into the world of the 17th century. A shipping vessel, the Taylor-Brent, is hunting for long lost treasure, and a seaman named Conna Daye is about to find it.

The Painted Chapel

Another medieval story concerning a young man called Timoseph Daye, who ventures forth into an unexplored world. He finds himself as part of a big arts project in Italy, to paint a chapel. There, he meets a young girl and falls in love. However, this young girl is plagued by her family, who do not allow her to venture away from her surroundings. It is up to Timoseph to help her.

A Hound's Desire

A Dark Ages story that takes place in Ireland, A Hound’s Desire takes one through the regal history of Cobhayr. Conna is the next in line for the throne and he must endure many growing pains before he ascends to his coming Kingship. There is also a peculiar destiny set before this future heir, along with a woman, who becomes his future Queen.

Space of Things

This is the direct prequel that sets up the story of my first novel, Knight and Daye. It follows the early life of Cynthia Daye (from the first novel), and the life of her father, Philip Timothy Daye. The President of the world they live on was due to make a bid of negotiation to end the early conflict with the aliens. Unfortunately, it broke down, and the Great Galactic Rubbish Recycling War was being fought at all sides, with many a casualty along the way.

A Beginners Realm

This is the first book in the Young Dr Huer Series of stories. Dr Elias Huer is a character from the Buck Rogers stories/comics of old. The story centers on his childhood and interest in science. He meets Cindihan, who lives in the hovels of Old Chicago, bombed into a nuclear wasteland and grows up fast, seeing this dire world as opposed to his comfy life in New Chicago.

The events of this story lead up to the TV series, aired in 1979.
