There are currently 8 books in the Nick Bracco Thriller series in which FBI agent Nick Bracco uses his Mafia-connected cousin, Tommy, to track down terrorists. These stories were born out of Gary’s teenage years when his father owned a candy store in Brooklyn which the Mafia used as a home base for their numbers racket. These characters were friendly and courteous to Gary and that’s how he remembered them. When it came time to write a novel, he couldn’t resist the opportunity to use his knowledge of the Mafia to create an intriguing combination of FBI and mobsters sharing the same goals. To rid the country of terrorists. Even mobsters can be patriots.
