Below is a list of the two books I have written about the Hero’s Journey. It is a complete two-part series set in a fantasy world filled with magic, prophecy, and many other familiar elements that will make it easy to jump into while still leaving much to be discovered and enjoyed that is new and exciting. David Bishop and the Legend of the Orb

This is the first book in a young-adult epic fantasy series written by yours truly. It centers around David Bishop, a teenage orphan who suddenly finds himself lost in a mysterious land. When he accidentally wanders into an ancient temple seemingly lost to the ages, he is drawn to an artifact placed in its depths – a glowing orb. As he grapples with the incredible power granted to him by the orb and the prophetic conflict that follows his bonding with the artifact, David and his allies must fight to prevent the release of an ancient evil that will reign destruction on their world. The inspiration for this book came from a dream I had that developed into an epic scale adventure over the years as I wrote it down and worked, and reworked, the plot, characters, and overall setting. I put nearly a decade into this book, but it was a passion project that I poured my heart into so that time is looked back on with fondness like a parent reflects on the growth of their child. David’s story is definitely a Hero’s journey and has drawn inspiration from many of the stories I grew up reading and still enjoy today. I hope you find his journey inspiring and enjoyable!

David Bishop and the Mystic of Creation

This is the conclusion to the David Bishop series. It continues the adventure that began in “David Bishop and the Legend of the Orb” and centers on David and his friends as they rush to find a way to hold back the emerging forces of evil and ultimately find a way to put an end to the calamity that has been unleashed on their world. My original intent was to write this series as a trilogy, as many of my favorite books tend to be sets of three; however, as I was writing I realized that the story is really broken up into two main parts, and it would be more appropriate to keep that consistent with the books rather than break up the second part into two books just for the sake of a trilogy. I wrote this conclusion in such a way that David’s story arc would be complete and resolved in such a way that left the reader with a sense of awe, nostalgia, and deep satisfaction. I hope that when you finish this series, you are left with such a fondness.
