Being Miss Nobody
Tamsin Winter, 2017
Eleven-year-old Rosalind is smart, funny, and mortifyingly shy. She has selective mutism, which means she cannot speak in front of anyone at school. At home, her brother Seb is dying from cancer and at school, everyone calls her weird. Before long, Rosalind becomes the perfect target for bullying - someone who can't fight back. So, Rosalind starts Miss Nobody - an anonymous blog to expose the bullies at her school. But, as her blog starts trending, things begin to spiral out of control and people start getting hurt. There is only one thing Rosalind has to do - speak up. But how do you do that when you can't actually speak? A heart-breaking, uplifting and unputdownable story about the importance of speaking up.
