Book Shimmy Awards 2021

Book nerds, we think it’s safe to say that 2021 was another year full of ups and downs. And much like the year before this one (and even in more peaceful times), books by our favorite authors helped us get through it all, whether it was a debut novel, a highly anticipated sequel, or a hidden gem/unpredictable favorite pulled from our tall stack of books-to-read. In moments of uncertainty and anxiety, we found solace in books that took us to new worlds: some that were nothing like the one we lived in, and some that were just a little bit better.
