Fikry, Gabrielle Zevin wrote: “Sometimes books don’t find us until the right time.” 2025 has been a contentious year, and books, particularly good fiction, have the power to put ourselves in other people’s shoes and help us better understand other people’s struggles and motivations. Stories can help answer some cosmic question we’ve been mulling over; they can provide comfort, and hope, when we most need it. And entertainment, too.
