Following a decade of near total economic collapse and anarchy, the invention of fusion power permits growth to restart. Growth means opportunities, but how to take them? The rich see the poor as resources to exploit, but greed sends rich against rich. Money gives a good start, money acquires corrupt politicians, but guns are great finishers when law and order can be purchased. The poor have few options: guns or surrender. They can accept future serfdom, they can serve the rich, or they can fight to keep some independence.
