The Incredible Journey of Pete McGee is an exciting, fun, sad, hilarious story about facing your fears and overcoming them. It looks at disabilities and how they can affect lives, and how they don't have to stop you fulfilling your dreams. The book does this with humor and adventure, with love and laughter, and with danger and excitement. Twelve-year-old Pete McGee was born with only one arm. He dreams of one day becoming a great and noble knight, but only his mother has the faith and belief that he will actually make the dream a reality. The McGees are very poor and Mrs. McGee is a sick woman. When Pete hears of the Wilderene flower, a flower that can perform miracles, he begins a quest to find it to cure his dying mother.
