Bob Davis
I have covered most every big economic story of the past 40 years for the Wall Street Journal, including the rise of China, the challenge from Japan and the global financial crisis. Along the way, I covered the Gulf War and the space program, was posted overseas in China and Brussels, and ran the Journal’s Latin America overage. I was part of a team of reporters who won a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the Russian financial crisis.
In 2022, I retired from the Journal as a senior editor in Washington, D.C. I continue to write about China policy and other topics that grab my fancy for the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, Politico Magazine, The Wire China, and other publications.
