If you’ve read about the books that helped to shape my imaginative life, listed above, you can probably get an idea of the themes and styles of my work. There is a blended quality between my fiction and my non-fiction, as if they are beginning to bleed into one another. In Sounds of Infinity I begin to include a section of both non-fiction and fiction and practical instructions. This style was requested of me by a future publisher and will culminate with The Rag and Bone Man’s Grimoire, available in the US autumn.

This book is soon to go out of print and be re-published again by Rebel Satori. Out of all my books it is probably the one that holds the deepest imprint from Anne Rice’s work. In Wooing the Echo Christopher has lost his closest friend Eugene. This story tells of how how he becomes involved with a random-seeming stranger who offers to teach him old school witchcraft to help him to tempt Eugene’s viscous shade to appear in his life. Things do not go quite according to plan.

This was my first published book, and was deeply inspired by Emma Wilby's The Visions of Isobel Gowdie. It reflected my desire to find a language to talk about a mixture of her academic perspective which allowed me to find non-oath bound routes to say things I’d learned about The Art in private circles.

Sounds of Infinity

This book on the Good Folk was the first book where I created a blend of my writing styles. Having done post-graduate work at university I wanted to take that semi-academic language, use that but also showcase my ability to write gripping fiction, and to also provide a grimoire at the back.

My most recent release. This book comes out of the dark times in my life where I battled through an experience with a brain tumour. People of the Outside talks about some of the most explosive themes in the history of how witches have been seen by others, about connections to that prejudice and our own Neanderthal ancestors, and how other forms of diversity are littered through this persecution.

The Gusty Deep

The Gusty Deep is an epic-sized monster tale that pokes holes between world ages and lets them chatter to each other through the moss. This book is connected to Sounds of Infinity’s fiction section that talks about the childhood of an inspired child named Robin Goodfellow, and an evocation of him in the grimoire at the back. In this book, Lux, the daughter of the girl who was pulled out of the Woolpit wolf trap, escapes a forced marriage with the help of a mysterious wayfaring man. After he helps her to escape he takes her back to his band of witches, rebels, whores and wonderful weirdos who struggle together to survive as Britain slips into the time we know as The Anarchy.
